Astrid and Earl,

 

Thanks so much for the package.  The scarf is GORGEOUS.  My good friend Aimee was here with her children when I opened the package and she's ready to steal it from me.

 

Aimee has four year old daughter (Maddie) a little boy (Ethan) who is four days younger than Gabriel.  All three kids completely flipped out over the quilt... immediately... on sight!  I wish I had thought to run the video camera, but I was too busy enjoying their reaction.  I mean they utterly LOVED it.  Ethan and Gabriel both squealed and scrambled over onto it and sat there babbling and pointing and generally making a huge fuss over it.  And then, Gabriel started lying down full length on it.  He would get up, move to a new spot and lie down and put his face against the quilt and pat the quilt.  Then get up, pick a new spot and do it all over again.  I've never seen anything SO CUTE in my whole life!!!

 

I did try to get a few pictures with my still camera... but it was hard to catch them, they were so busy examining and discussing every little detail.  I've attached the pictures, along with a nice one that I took of Gabriel yesterday as he and I were leaving for our walk to the playground.
