Pictured, L to R, Lois Peter, Al "Crash" Lesniak, ????, Don Pirch, Sharon Petitte, Don "Hot Rod" Rigazio, Ardis Koehler, George van de Wyngarde.  Maybe a viewer will remember the name of the girl in front of Don Pirch.  If so, let us know.

"This picture was taken at Riverview Park, Belmont &Western in Chicago.  It was taken on approximately April 15, 1953.  It (the park) has been torn down, but we (Sharon & Don) cannot remember the date of that.  Don was home on leave before being shipped to Korea.  We got to Riverview by car, Don drove his dad's Kaiser and we think George van de Wynegarde, also drove, but we are not sure.  It cost $0.50 per person to get into the park.  They had this display prop set up and it cost us $1.00 per couple for the picture.
 

    I (Sharon) do remember it was a tiring day.  Actually, I thought I had met my maker when Don talked me into going on the parachutes.  My only comment when we reached the ground was - "NEVER AGAIN" !!!!!!
 
    After we left there, which was very late afternoon, I believe we came back to the Igloo to eat.  I remember this day pretty much because Don left (for Korea) the next day, and I didn't see him again for two years."
